When you book a flight ticket for a child (2-11 years old), you can get a discount with some airlines. The condition is that the child is still 11 years of age or younger during the journey. Whether the airline gives a child discount depends on the terms and conditions of the airline by which the ticket is sold.
Exception: If the child is 11 years old on the outbound trip but turns 12 before the return trip, adult prices apply in most cases. However, this still depends on the terms and conditions of the airline. For questions, contact our customer support.
If you want to book a plane ticket for a minor child (5-16) who will be traveling alone, some airlines offer a so-called Unaccompanied Minor Service. Please contact airline directly if you want to book a unaccompanied child.
